Topic: Saying “no” to the union; Has the Janus decision made an impact?
Researcher, lawyer and writer for the Center of the American Experiment, Kim Crockett will share what impact the Janus Decision by the Supreme Court. She examines the impact this decision has made when individuals in public unions can refuse to join. Crockett presents at the May 11 Mother/Daughter/Aunt breakfast meeting and silent auction of the Metro Republican Women at Mendakota Country Club.
The meeting will be held at the Mendakota Country Club. The buffet breakfast will be served at 8:30 a.m. and program begins at 9:00 a.m. The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members and $15 for students. With no reservations by the deadline, the cost is $30. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are encouraged.
Those interested in attending can pay online or simply make a reservation and pay at the door. For the lower price, make reservations by Tuesday, May 7.
Metro Republican Women www.metrogopwomen.org has provided quality education on Republican political issues for the past 36 years. It is part of the Minnesota Federation of Republican Women and National Federation of Republican Women. With 50 current members, Metro Republican Women is the largest and most active club in the Minnesota. Known for monthly speakers who address challenging political topics of the day, the club has been recognized for its outreach to military families, concern for literacy issues and for aiding women who are returning to the workforce.
